My Party – Jordon

On Saturday it was my birthday party and all of my friends came. It was a football party and we all had such a fun time. I managed to score a lot of goals and loads of assists. I also got a lot of money and a champions league finals ball that I really wanted. At half time we had to swap sides and I was shooting the other way. After that it was lunch time and I had chicken nuggets with chips and ketch-up on the side. Sadly, after lunch, my party was finished. When I got home I played foot ball with my new champions league ball then I played fifa15 against my brother. I lost by 1 goal and then I had to turn it off.

After Fifa I went on my hudle and wrote this blog that you are probably reading now! After I was done I started to watch TV. Once it was finished I played football but a short time after I had to come in as it started to rain and I was getting wet as I was not allowed outside. I played finger foot ball and won. After I watched you tube, played crossy road and beat my high score. Then I had to come off and that was my Saturday!

The Oscars night!! Henry and Freya

At The Grove School, we are hosting the best Oscars night ever. Everyone is so excited to see everyone’s movies and dress up, and see if we get an Oscar. I am most excited at seeing everyone’s film because we got to choose the theme of the movie. We have: thrilling, action, comedy and many more.

As well as doing that, we get to dress up. The girls’ are wearing dresses, pretty shoes and make up. The boys’ are wearing smart cloths like: suit and tie or waist coat, bow and tie. I am very intrigued to see what the teachers wear, as well as the parents…

What if one of our films gets an award? It would be amazing!

Today, we have finally finished our mini movies for the Oscars! Although it took us a long time to finish them, it was worth in the end. Our movies are called: ‘The Time Travel Team’ and ‘Its All Over The News’!

Tonight, we are all getting VERY dressed up in fancy frocks and suits. All of our fantastic and amazing films are going to be shown to everyone in year 5. We are all so excited, and we can’t keep still! At the ceremony some people will be nominated for lots of things including: best actor, best director and many more.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

ON SATURDAY IT WAS A VERY IMPORTANT DAY, THE  CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL BETWEEN BARCELONA AND JUVENTUS. IT WAS A GREAT START AS BARCELONA TOOK THE LEED, 4 MINUTES IN WIH IRAN RAKITIC. BEFORE YOU KNEW IT, THE FABULOUS MORATA SCORED THE HEART BREAKING EQUALIZER FOR JUVENTUS. LUIS SAURES HAS DONE IT AGAIN WITH THE 2 GOAL FOR BARCELONA. SUDDENLY, JUVENTUS WERE ON THE ATTACK BUT JORDI ALBA WITH A STRONG TACKLE ON TEVEZ TO BREAK. HE PLAYED THE BALLFORWARD NEYMAR WAS THERE ON THE VOLLEY STRIKE. IT WENT INTO THE BOTTOM CORNER.

Oscars night is tonight! by Luca and Maggie!

We will be able to watch our films and get our photos taken, like real film stars in Hollywood. Food and drinks will be served at 6:30 pm and films will start at 7:00 pm, in the Grand Halls. We will also be wearing fancy clothing and be walking down the red carpet!

We might get an Oscar award or a nomination but if we don’t, we know that everyone worked hard!

THIS WEEK, ON THURSDAY, WAS EPIC AND EXTREMELY EXCITING – BY MAGGIE

Yesterday I went to the Oscars night and I had chocolate buttons and a drink. My favourite part was the awards because we got to find out who won! There were loads of awards to be handed out and sadly my group (accidents happen) didn’t win for Acacia class! =( . But still, it was a very fun night.

Today me and Tom are really happy because tonight is the Oscars night. We have a big chance of wining an award in the ceremony, which is going to be presented by one of the teachers. It’s going to be held in the hall and all the parents are going to be there. We’re all going to dress up very fancy. There’s going to be a red carpet, drinks, food and a lot of decorating.

We are going to watch all the movies on a really big screen. Bigger than normal TV sizes! We all got tickets to take home to our parents. We also made invites for our mums and dads. My film is called: ‘the diamond chase’ and Tom’s is called: ‘accident’s happen’.

The Grove Oscars 2015 by Toby

The whole of year 5 are very exited for our annual Oscars ceremony, taking place tonight! We don’t know who’s won what, and are eager to find out. There is also going to be drinks, photos, and formal dress is encouraged – that’s never happened before. Everybody wants to win those shiny gold figures! (I’ve never understood what those little men are supposed to be doing… )

Today was the last day of editing, animating and other movie associated stuff. There was a little bit of calamity though- some movies supposedly got deleted, then found at the last minute, just in the nick of time.

In my group, Accidents Happen, there’s me, Ollie, Ella, Tom, another Tom and Maggie.

Summer Fete – By Alyson

I am so excited, because I am performing with the Southdown Jazz Jets during the school fete. One of my friends, Heather, is going to be alongside me on her saxophone. Mrs Bull is singing some fantastic songs with us and my brother is playing bass. All of us will be playing a variety of jazz standards!
